Nathan Strauss is carried off to the KZ Dachau on December 2,1941.
There he dies in March of 1942 - heaven knows under what
circumstances. Pretty soon aunt Adelheid receives a CoD parcel by
mail. The parcel contains the urn with Nathan’s ashes.
Did uncle Nathan do anything bad to deserve such an end? - He had
picked blueberries in the forest and thus he violated the police
ordinance issued on September1, 1941. Someone from Burghaun
reported him to the law!
