My kind-hearted, dear Alfred!
Thanks be to God, you are alive and dad and I, too, have been saved by the hand of the
gracious One. I am so happy and grateful that you, my ”gold-child”, have been saved. I pray
daily to God (G-d) that he also granted His protection to beloved Milly and dear
”Gertrudchen”. Hopefully we will hear good news from them pretty soon. Uncle Hermann
from San Francisco sent us your letter and two photos of you. I just can’t describe to you,
how delighted we were about it. As of today no mail from Holland has arrived here.
Therefore we ask that for the time being you send mail for us via uncle Hermann. Perhaps
the Eisemann family might have acquaintances in England, since from there mail is being
expedited here. For the moment we are only permitted to write postcards to Holland.
My beloved boy, I hug and kiss you heartfeltly,
yours mom
Dear Eisemann family!
I can’t find the right words to express my gratitude. We’ll owe you eternally, that you
contributed to the rescue of our beloved child. More about that at a later time.
Just heartfelt greetings for today, yours always grateful Lilly Strauss
