Dear loved ones!
Although I just recently wrote to you, my dear loved ones, I have special
reason to write again, and this time it is very exciting news. An American
soldier found our dear Alfred in Holland, where he was in hiding with a
Christian family. When Alfred found out that this soldier was Jewish, he held
on to him tightly and cried; he asked him for help and told him that he didn’t
know any address from any of his relatives, in fact that he didn’t know whether
any of them were still alive.
He just didn’t go away from the soldier but followed him everywhere he went.
