ascertainment there
were at the end of
1939 still 64 Jewish
people living in the
county of Huenfeld,
who after the start of
the war were trapped
and had to be
registered in a
particularly drawn up
”List of Jews”.
As of January 1, 1939
male Jews were
forced to add "Israel”
to their name, and
female Jews ”Sarah”,
in order for them to
be immediately
identifiable as being
Jewish.
