Tracing roots in Burghaun
At the Jewish central cemetery at Burghaun, view unto
the middle part of the cemetery (1834-1872)
After a coffee break at Elisabeth Sternberg`s home we went to Burghaun. Here at the
Jewish cemetery Alfred’s grandparents Strauss, as well as numerous ancestors have
their final resting-place. Pausing there in commemoration, at the ”house of eternal life”,
was for Alfred Strauss and his daughter Karen an appropriate conclusion of a meaningful
and impressive week of visiting. May Alfred and his daughter, as well as
all who participated, keep good memories of that week.
