Tracing roots in Rothenkirchen
After the Jewish guests had gone sightseeing with Mr. Käsmann (city council of Huenfeld)
in Huenfeld and vicinity, whereby they learned about the development of town and county,
one more day remained to visit two important locations. First of all we went to the small
town of Rothenkirchen, the birthplace of Alfred’s father, Joseph Strauss. For several gene-rations until 1907 the forebears of the Strauss’ family had been residents
of Rothenkirchen.
