Finally we could sail to America aboard the passenger ship S.S. Drotningholm. On March
26, 1946 we boarded a special train at Stockholm, it took us directly to the Goeteborg
port, where we got aboard the ship right away. The voyage took us via Liverpool, Halifax,
along the coast to New York. The voyage took about two weeks, and I do remember that
all of us got terribly seasick. Irving Floersheim from Huenfeld who had been living in
America for a long time already, greeted us at our arrival at New York.
