Hiding out in southern Holland
After about one and a half weeks a Christian family from Brunssum by the name of
Godding took me in. They had a daughter by the name of Gerda and one son.
Incidentally, the head of the underground was the pastor of the local parish, a certain
Father van der Geest. With the Godding family I stayed for about three months, after
that the situation became pretty unsafe. All of a sudden there was quite some movement
of German military in the area, and there was a strong presence of Nazis. Thus the
people got scared, and they had to find a different family, who was willing to hide me.
