Alfred Strauss remembers: With the ‚Kindertransport’ we arrived in Holland at
the end of March 1939. The only thing I remember is that my mother took us three
children to the railway station in Frankfurt. From there we went by train to
Rotterdam. I have no memory of any details. After our arrival at Rotterdam we first
lived in a special reception camp, where we were placed under quarantine for a
certain period of time - maybe a few weeks. Afterwards they took us to Zwolle.

and Cologne into a foreign
country to unknown people in
Rotterdam, Zwolle,
Appeldoorn, Amsterdam, and
even further - just because
they were Jews!
